I wonder how many of my very few readers have noticed that I haven’t been posting anything much of late? The reason I haven’t been posting much recently is because I’ve been pretty busy with Will, my lovely fella. At … Continue reading

I promised to post some pics of the recent workshop at Hobbycraft where I was demonstrating glass paints and doing a workshop.  We painted some tiles which made a change from glasses though folk were offered the choice between a … Continue reading

Presents for the girlies (and me!)

It seems like all the birthdays come at once…….except they’re not mine, they’re  the birthdays of friends and relatives and thank goodness they like jewellery.  So that’s what I’ve been busy doing, making presents and neglecting the housework, not that … Continue reading

Parrot Tulip Bouquet

Parrot Tulips have petals that are feathered, curled, twisted, or waved. Apart from that, the flowers are very large and brightly coloured. As a result, Parrot Tulips are extremely flamboyant. If you want dramatic tulips, these are a great choice. Parrot Tulips were developed from mutations of certain late-flowering tulips, and from tulips in the Triumph Class. Some are late spring flowering, and some are mid-spring.

The styling, the location, the couple, the table setting, the silver details, the intimacy, the feeling that the photographer has so perfectly capture, the whole scene, is in my humble opinion the best. My favorite couple shooting.. to date!

I was approved this week for my new apartment in Manhattan! I know, I know, try to contain your excitement for me. My move in date is May 1st and it is the first time I'll  be living in an apartment that let's you own anything from a dog all the way down to a fish, and everything in between. Before starting this blog, let me take you on an adventure through the cavalcade (big girl word :) ) of animals I have lived among already so far.

Follow these commandments or I shall smite you. Totally kidding, I hardly ever smite anyone.

1. Thou shalt not ever meet for the first time for more than coffee/drinks (i.e. something that thou could potentially get out of ASAP if thou’s date beith a total creeper).

  • When your potential match.com boyfriend asks you what you want to do, repeat after me: “Let’s plan on meeting for coffee/drinks…

Absolutely spot on! I'd also add to number #1 which suggests agreeing to go for a cuppa (something small so you can cut and run if your date isn't quite your cup of tea)......meeting up early, so if it doesn't work, you can go SHOPPING!!! Day not wasted...thinking ahead see? :))

While I was in Sydney I spotted this fab window display in the Luis Vuitton store.

The designer/window dresser has done a brilliant job here both in the concept and application.  There was a crocodile in the other window but it’s almost impossible to get a photo because of all the passers-by and I was lucky to get this shot at all.

Apart from the major designers and top-notch names, you rarely get to see a really good window display these days as most companys tend to have the same boring, corporate type windows everywhere you go which is a shame.

Window display seems to be a bit of a dying art these days (apart from the big players)….its a shame!
